Dale Parker defended a 5-day trial involving two separate plaintiffs. Our client rear ended a stopped vehicle causing over $3,500 of property damage. Each plaintiff was taken by ambulance to the hospital and started treating 4 days later after hiring their lawyer. They each went on to have fusion surgery with plates and screws with a recommendation for another surgery each. Past medical bills were over $270,000 each. Future bills were predicted at over $100,000 each.
We admitted liability and focused our defense on the issue of causation and damages based upon the plaintiff’s inconsistent testimony and other accidents. The jury found that our client’s negligence did not cause any of the claimed damages and returned double defense verdicts.
